Wednesday 17 February 2010

Some businesses in Northern Ireland could benefit from a new non-domestic property rate relief scheme being introduced. Businesses qualifying for the Small Business Rate Relief Scheme will receive the relief in April 2010.

The NAV is also known as the rateable value of a non-domestic property.

Eligibility is based on the net annual value (NAV) of each business property. The NAV is also known as the rateable value of a non-domestic property. There are two levels of Small Business Rate Relief: Business properties with a NAV of £2,000 or less; and Business properties with a NAV of more than £2,000 but not more than £5,000.
